General Clerical assistants help staff with folding and stuffing projects, packet assembly, binder assembly, copies, filing, light typing, answering phones, or other duties as needed by Cardinal Hill staff.

Clerical Assistants must be at least 16 years of age and may be required to lift objects up to 10 lbs, alphabetize, file, etc.

All volunteers must attend a general volunteer orientation.

Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with patients and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines, and understand the employee handbook and all hospital policies.

Duties

Clerical Assistants are needed to assist Home Health department staff with clerical responsibilities in order to enhance the efficiency of the office/unit. Clerical duties include: filing, light typing, answering the telephone, data entry, making copies, preparing charts, running errands between departments/units, distributing mail, collating folders, and other light duties as deemed necessary.

Duties

Housekeeping Assistants are needed to help the Housekeeping staff. Volunteers will:

• Display a positive image of Cardinal Hill by demonstrating courteous behavior towards patients, visitors, other volunteers and employees.
• Assist with folding laundry
• Assist with cleaning flower vases in patient rooms
• Assist with delivering laundry to units

Clerical Assistants are needed to assist the Quality Management staff with clerical responsibilities in order to enhance the efficiency of the department. Clerical duties include: preparing mailings, filing, light typing, answering the telephone, data entry, making copies, preparing charts, running errands between departments/units, distributing mail, and other light duties as deemed necessary.

Volunteers who prefer to be "on call" would be ideal for this position as projects can be sporadic.
