Home Health Department Assistant

Duties

Clerical Assistants are needed to assist Home Health department staff with clerical responsibilities in order to enhance the efficiency of the office/unit. Clerical duties include: filing, light typing, answering the telephone, data entry, making copies, preparing charts, running errands between departments/units, distributing mail, collating folders, and other light duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

Clerical Assistants must be at least 16 years of age and are required to lift objects up to 10 lbs, alphabetize, file etc.

All volunteers must attend a general volunteer orientation as well as a Home Health department specific orientation and training.

Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with patients and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines and understand the employee handbook and all hospital policies.
