Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Unit is dedicated exclusively to rehabilitation practices specializing in the treatment of orthopedic and mild neurologic conditions including and hip and knee replacements, and other disabling conditions for people of all ages. In addition to our signature inpatient services, Cardinal Hill Healthcare System offers a comprehensive pediatric, adult outpatient and home health service in Lexington.

Patients are provided individualized treatments to meet their specific needs by a team of professionals.

Individualized Treatment Plan

Each patient's plan of care is designed to meet his individual needs. In addition to the training in mobility and self-care skills provided by licensed Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists, the plan of care may include any or all of the following services:

• Wound Care
• Home Management retraining
• Evaluation of equipment needs
• Community reentry activities
• Diet & medication teaching
• Adjustment counseling
• Driving evaluation
• Evaluation of the patient's home environment
• Community Referrals

The team members focus on helping the patient regain the ability to live life as independently as possible, revising the patient's treatment plan as each new goal is met.
