Cardinal Hill Opens New Patient Care Building
Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital opened it's new patient care building in Lexington, Kentucky. Opening ceremonies were Tuesday, September 13th. Our guest speakers included Lexington's Mayor, Jim Gray; Kentucky's First Lady, Jane Beshear, KESS Board of Director's Chair, Mike Kanarek; Immediate Past Chair of the Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital Board of Trustees, Jimmy Nash; Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital Building Committe Chair, Gregg Thornton; Cardinal Associate Medical Director, Dr. Russell Travis, and Cardinal Hill Patient Ambassador, Judy Hale Everett.
This is the first major expansion done at the hospital since 1988. This new addition brings more patient rooms, larger therapy gyms, more private rooms and a new aquatic center! Check out some photos from our Dedication Ceremony at
History was made! We moved our first patient into the new building on September 15th. Ms Madonna Webb from Johnson County was honored to be the first patient to cross the threshold into the new 158,000 sq. ft. patient care building! Thank you Madonna for letting us photograph this momentous occasion!
