Walter High, PhD, University of Kentucky, Physical Medicine &Rehabilitation, Cardinal Hill Endowed Chair

Objectives:

The purpose of this study is to examine the neuropsychological sequelae of mTBI and PTSD within a sample of combat veterans.  As symptoms of mTBI and PTSD overlap, we propose to compare the neuropsychological profile of mTBI veterans who met DSM-IV-TR criteria for PTSD and those who did not.   It is hypothesized that those with PTSD will perform significantly worse on measures of memory and executive functioning.
