Cardinal Hill and Central Kentucky Riding for Hope (CKRH) have created a partnership to allow the use of hippotherapy as a treatment strategy in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy.    Hippotherapy can improve balance, posture, mobility as well as cognitive, behavioral and communication skills. The therapists use the movement of specially trained horses in combination with other clinical treatment techniques to achieve specific desired functional  goals for each client.   Hippotherapy is used as a treatment strategy  on Tuesdays and Fridays at CKRH located at the Kentucky Horse Park.   Age ranges are from 3 years to adults.  Call us at (859) 367-7127 for more information on hippotherapy.
